After your kitchen, your bathroom is one of the most essential spaces in your home; it is also probably one of the busiest spaces. Whether you live alone or family surrounds you, your bathroom will be in constant use. Sprucing up your bathroom to refresh the space can make a huge improvement to your relaxation and comfort levels, as a fresh, bright, clean bathroom is a tremendous asset to any home.  If you are looking to spruce up your bathroom this summer, here are a few tips on how you can do it.

Give It New Lick Of Paint

A very simple way to spruce up your bathroom is by adding a new lick of paint. This is especially so if you choose a bright, clean color. Walls are also susceptible to mold in a bathroom, so you will need to clean them thoroughly before applying any new paint. But once you do, your bathroom will both feel and look fantastic.

Add Greenery

Adding plants to your bathroom can be both a functional and aesthetic way to spruce up the space. Air plants are great because they help soak up the humidity in your bathroom; plus they enable you to get more creative about display since they do not need planters. Ferns and pathos are durable and do not need much light, so will work well in smaller bathroom spaces. Adding greenery also helps oxygenate the space, thus making your bathroom feel more light and airy.

Check Old Tiles

Over time the tiles in your bathroom will become dull and tired. More often than not, this is due to the fact that your grouting needs changing (or at least cleaning). This happens because bathroom tile grout is susceptible to discoloration and erosion since it regularly faces the elements of the bathroom. Purchasing grouting tools and regrouting the tiles in your bathroom is like giving it a facelift.

Use Mirrors To Accentuate The Natural Light

Whatever the size of your bathroom, you can add more mirrors to accentuate the light and space. Mirrors are a fantastic way to spruce up any bathroom because they reflect the natural light, therefore altering the perception of space in the room, making it look a lot bigger—and much lighter and brighter. Mirrors harness any daylight possible, so adding a couple of mirrors into your bathroom will help add light to the space.

Change Your Taps and Shower Head

Changing your taps and shower head is an excellent sprucing technique. Over time, limescale can build up and the taps will start to look dull and tired; and your water pressure also starts to decrease—which affects the shower head. Changing your taps and shower head not only adds an aesthetic charm to the space but also can help cure any issues you might be having with water pressure due to this build-up of limescale. There are many exciting faucet and shower head options to choose from that can enliven any bathroom space.
